At our company, sustainability is not just a buzzword – it is reflected in our daily decisions, responsible initiatives, and concrete actions we take together. To drive this forward, we have built a strong and diverse Sustainability Team of 12 members, bringing together different skills, experiences, and perspectives – from production, supply chain, and quality to HR, finance, technology, and communications.
Together we:
- Analyze and assess the impact on the environment, employees, and society.
- Implement ambitious projects focused on emissions reduction, energy efficiency, circular economy, and responsible sourcing.
- Prepare sustainability reports ensuring compliance with international standards.
- Foster an internal sustainability culture, employee engagement, and innovation.
- Actively engage with partners, the community, and public institutions.
Our Sustainability Team is the internal driving force that helps the company move forward responsibly and sustainably, creating added value both for today and for future generations.
When nominating candidates to be members of the Group's management bodies, the requirements set for candidates do not discriminate against candidates due to age, gender, education or professional experience. The main criterion for selecting members of management bodies is the competence of the candidate.

Every employee of the group of companies is introduced to each policy document of the Group. It is divided into specific measurable objectives of the respective divisions and/or departments of the group of companies, ensuring its implementation. The implementation of the objectives is reviewed at least once a year during the management analysis.

A sustainable business is a business whose development is based on economic growth and social welfare and the balance of environmental prosperity. For the company AB "Rokiškio sūris" in order to maintain its leadership positions in the dairy sector, it is a considerable challenge to find the right balance between sustainable value creation for shareholders and mobilization of greater efforts in the fields of ESG. On a corporate scale, sustainability is still is more understood as nature conservation, but taking each area of sustainability separately can be bold to state that the company has always fostered both social welfare and caring for the environment in which works We carry out the group's activities in accordance with the 3-year strategic plan approved by the board, which contains the following. The group's mission, vision, goals and long-term aspirations. We plan to update our strategic plan and integrate sustainability into it and identify the most significant areas of sustainability (see section "Assessment of Significance").
We properly communicate the Group's achievements to all stakeholders. We will strive to ensure that all Group activities are guided by the principles of sustainability. We will not limit ourselves to the already achieved results and good practices, but will always look for new ways, where and how to apply a more sustainable approach in our activities.
